About The Founder
Serina Suzuki
Coming from a mixed cultural background that beautifully intertwines Japanese and Chinese heritage, Serina is passionate about bridging cultures and fostering connections among diverse communities. This dedication has led her to represent Japan at prestigious international programs, including the world’s largest youth summit, One Young World. In 2017, after graduating from Meiji University, Serina began her professional journey with Mitsubishi Corporation in Tokyo. To deepen her expertise, she pursued an MBA at the University of Hong Kong in 2021. Today, she serves as a private banker at a leading global financial institution, based in Hong Kong.
Serina founded Tabi inspired by her experiences living and studying abroad, and with a resolute determination to connect people with Japan's unique spirit. She believes that her multicultural background uniquely positions her to foster meaningful cross-cultural exchanges.
As Tabi’s experience curator, Serina brings her enthusiasm for travel—having explored over 30 countries and hundreds of cities—to craft immersive experiences that highlight Japan's authentic hospitality, deeply rooted in its rich culture and traditions. Through Tabi, Serina invites travelers to experience Japan in a way that broadens perspectives and builds lasting connections.
